Thinkatorium is lowering barriers to spark student passion through innovative field trips for schools by: No busses - we bring the field trip right to the school. No chaperones - we bring our trained volunteers to Title I schools. Learning through play - instead of boring museum exhibits from last century, we offer interactive exhibits that foster problem-solving skills and boost student confidence. Plus, we ensure alignment with teaching requirements (TEKS alignment). Safe space to fail - it's not about being right, it's about finding a solution. Inclusive - we provide various challenges tailored to the age and stage of the kiddos, allowing for easy wins that can grow into amazing accomplishments. This approach enables us to reach different audiences, including students with special needs, gifted students, and everyone in-between. Bilingual - all printed materials are available in both English and Spanish, supporting our mission in STEAM education.
Our primary mission is to ignite young minds through immersive, hands-on activities that spark a lifelong passion for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) education. By reimagining the traditional model of field trips for schools, we not only provide enriching educational experiences through interactive exhibits but also alleviate the challenges faced by both educators and parents.

Our Thinkateers, also known as volunteers, are incredible retired educators, high school and college students, and more! All our volunteers are trained and have a passion for what they do, especially when it comes to facilitating field trips for schools and engaging with interactive exhibits that promote STEAM education.
We are always on the lookout for volunteers aged 15 and older who want to work with kiddos or help us with materials for our programs.
A big shout out to our dedicated volunteers from Martin High School STEM Academy, UT Arlington, and Texas Wesleyan!
We couldn't offer engaging field trips for schools featuring interactive exhibits without the generous support of our donors and sponsors. If you're interested in learning more about our STEAM education initiatives or would like to help, please visit our current donation and needs page.
