All students deserve access to museums
Thinkatorium is lowering barriers to spark student passion by:
- No busses - we bring the field trip right to the school
- No chaperones - we bring our trained volunteers to Title I schools
- Learning though play - no boring museum exhibits from last century, but interactive experiences that help problem solving and boost student confidence. And we still check off teaching requirements (TEKS alignment).
- Safe space to fail - It's not about being right, it's about finding a solution.
- Inclusive - We have different challenges based on the age and stage of the kiddos. We allow easy wins to grow into amazing accomplishments. This means we can reach different audiences, such as students with special needs, gifted students, and everyone in-between.
- Bilingual - all printed materials are available in both English and Spanish.

Our primary mission is to ignite young minds through immersive, hands-on activities that spark a lifelong passion for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). By reimagining the traditional field trip model, we not only provide enriching educational experiences but also alleviate the challenges faced by both educators and parents.
Nuestra misión principal es encender las mentes jóvenes a través de actividades prácticas e inmersivas que despiertan una pasión de por vida por la ciencia, la tecnología, la ingeniería, las artes y las matemáticas (STEAM). Al reinventar el modelo tradicional de excursiones, no solo brindamos experiencias educativas enriquecedoras, sino que también aliviamos los desafíos que enfrentan tanto los educadores como los padres.
Amazing volunteers
Our Thinkateers, aka volunteers, are amazing retired educators, high school and college students, and more! All our volunteers are trained and have a passion for what they do.
We are always looking for volunteers 15 years and older who want to work with kiddos or want to help us with materials.
